Anger Management

Anger Management

Everyone gets angry sometimes. However, if you frequently become angry and have trouble dealing with conflict situations without becoming very upset or angry, you may need help. I offer a variety of effective strategies to replace anger with rational ways of dealing with conflict,
situations that make you frustrated, and difficult relationships, or problems with other people. Anger is often not necessary and there are other more effective ways to solve problems. However, in a life threatening, terrible situation, anger may be the correct response, but that doesn't happen very often. In relationships, most anger is a destructive force that can drive couples or families apart. I teach ways to diffuse and get rid of that anger to improve the quality of those relationships. It is silly and a waste of time to get angry if the following 4 things are not true in a conflict situation:

1. I didn't get what I wanted.

2. I deserved to get it.

3. It was a terrible thing that I didn't get what I wanted.

4. It was someone else's fault.

Ask yourself if what you are getting angry about meets all four of the above. If not, it is not worth getting angry about it.
